Subsurface Plows KPG-3N, KPG-3-5N
KPG Series Cultivators are lift hitch units intended for solid autumn soil tillage.
Cultivators are used in all agro-climatic zones, including those prone to wind and water erosion, on all types of soils, except for sandy loam.
The cultivator is effectively applied for major tillage to:
- accumulate autumn and spring moisture;
- preserve stubble, prevent wind and water soil erosion;
- fight perennial weeds;
- induce germination of seeds of annual weeds;
- soil saturation with nitrogen.
The cultivators are used with class 3-5 tractors, with a pressure in the hydraulic system up to 23 MPa.

PLOW FRAME:
- The frame design employs thick-walled profile pipes made of 09Г2С steel and the same steel is used for racks; the material is distinguished by excellent weldability and increased strength, which made it possible to increase the load on the tools and expand the technological capabilities of the cultivators;
- The extended base of the cultivator increases the accuracy of the working depth and the quality of leveling the field surface;
- Arrangement of tines on cultivators provides optimal overlap between the tools and reduces the likelihood of clogging the cultivator with plant residues and adhesion of soil to the wheels of the machine running on an untreated background, ensures stability of the working depth, optimizing the load on the tools and the plow frame.
TOOLS:
- Modern methods of tools (racks, chisels, knives) hardening have significantly increased their service life, productivity, reduced traction resistance and consumption of fuels and lubricants per treated hectare;
- The adjustment of the working depth is stepwise, and the adjustment of the angle of attack of the tools is stepless.
RIGGING:
- The use of KPG cultivators ensures:
- almost 100 % preservation of the stubble without any additional rigging, which is important for the fields prone to wind erosion;
- at least 70% preservation of the stubble in the subsurface soil layer with additional rigging which is important for fighting soil erosion;
- The use of additional rigging for the KPG-3N and KPG-3-5N cultivators with dia. 560 mm disc batteries, KPG-3N cultivator with dia. 450 mm disc batteries or needle rollers ensures:
- extra milling of subsurface soil layer, 6…14 cm;
- high-quality mixing of crop residues with soil;
- additional induction of weed germination;
- field leveling.
